In the beginning...

(or, in this case, quite a while after)

God said "Let there be light", and proceeded to clap his hands twice. A little boy came out from the cave he'd been hiding in. He looked up at the sky and shouted, his voice full of rage; "Hey, you, all-powerful being! Turn off the lights! We like the darkness".

But God refused.

And so, there was light.
