"LOVE - A Science Story" and "DARK MATTERS"

This summer, I was supposed to edit & finish my supernatural noir-thriller A DEAD CASE. In addition to this, I had planned to write two short-film sequels that were supposed to finish the story of Ned & Michael, the P.I's in THE NIGHT OF DREADFUL DESIRE. I had also thought that I would have some time to continue the writing on my Fantasy-film (THE CAUSINGS OF AN INCIDENT) but all my plans failed - A DEAD CASE involved too much editing on the things I'd previously written and that was not the work I wanted to do. My fantasy-film is hard to write. Extremely hard. I should include the reason I've stopped writing the sequel of THE NIGHT OF DREADFUL DESIRE, but I have a little more to say about that, so follow me through to the next paragraph here!

On THE NIGHT OF DREADFUL DESIRE
The sequel of my original short-film gained around 10 pages and an undertitle (Break on Through) before I found myself unsure of how the boys would solve the mystery - writing on this will continue when I get the plotting done, a work I am not going to do when on a boat trip. I long to my Whiteboards at home for plotwork, especially crime-related!

The plotting is, however, just one of the reasons I'm not writing the sequel at this current time. The other reason is that I am thinking of making THE NIGHT OF DREADFUL DESIRE-saga into a webseries, and the three short-films that I'm writing will serve as "anchor points" - beginning, middle and end. I imagine that those short-film screenplays will be unimaginably helpful when writing and plotting the webseries. Whenever that is.

LOVE - A Science Story
There is another reason as to why I am not writing on the screenplays I originally planned - this reason is entitled "LOVE - A Science Story" (it was originally titled SCIENCE - A love story, but I twisted it.) All the characters in this Science-Ficion Drama are based off of friends I gained on the internet (mostly Twitter). The main characters of the movie's first part are named LEWIS STAKER and STEPHEN KAYER. They are based on @lewish1 and @realmattdamon (whose real name is Stephen). The main characters in the second half of this film is based on @EthanRunt and @JTandTed. These characters do not yet have any names, as I have not yet reached the second part yet.

The first part of the story is about two scientists (Lewis Staker and Stephen Kayer), a mysterious company with the name of MAROONING INCORPORATED, a strange Butler and the removal of Love in the human body. The second part of the story is about how the world has changed because love is no longer a feeling. It is a very, very strange film. Believe me.

Dark Matters
I recently read Philip K. Dick's "Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep?", and I've long been thinking of writing a sci-fi movie about Dark Matter and the Ultimate Fate of the Universe. This book, and my endless imagination, cracked it all. I am rather tightlipped when it comes to "LOVE - A Science Story" but this I can tell you all about, mostly because I am so damn happy and psyched that I managed to write this.

What follows here is the Plot Outline of DARK MATTERS:

Science-Fiction - many, many, many, MANY years into the future.
We've got spaceships, androids, we have gained contact with aliens, we have more understanding of what the universe is and, more importantly, when it'll end.

The movie begins with a scene where John Alley kills Gerald Trail. The opening titles are shown with new of THE COSMOS' launch.

(The) Cosmos is a ship, sent out by the government to discover Dark Energy, a part of Dark Matter. The Universe needs this Dark Energy for it to continue to expand. The universe is coming to an end, a result of humans and aliens using Dark Energy as a power supply. Now, The Cosmos must travel where no man (or alien) has ever gone before, and find the last remains of Dark Energy. Back on Earth, major operations are put into play; one governmental, with scientists of every species (various alien, androids or humans) and field, determined to find a way to make more Dark Energy. The other operation is highly illegal, a part of a conspiracy to use this new crisis to take over the whole universe, human and alien alike. It involves a specific android, an exact copy of Gerald Trail, an up-and-coming new politician. This android does not know it's an android, and implications quickly arise.

In the end, these three things (the conspiracy, the search for Dark Energy and the scientists trying to find a way to multiply the amount of Dark Energy) will all intervene so that the Universe can be saved, the conspiracy can be uncovered and the Android can discover what it truly means to be alive.

The plan presented to Gerald Trail was to get high up in the system, bring in the android, be paid a huge sum of money and retire, leaving the control over to the masterminds behind the plan. (The conspirators are only called The Masterminds under the course of the film) John Alley is a henchman for The Masterminds, but eventually he goes rouge.

The End:
The Android figures out what it is, and he goes to a scientist so that he can help the Android understand how he can feel, how he can be alive and how he didn't know that he wasn't a real human being. (None of these things has ever happened before) Just as he does this, the COSMOS-ship returns home, nearly destroyed but with a little bit of Dark Energy left. A scientists of the Notarian-species with the name Vuze is taking a look into the Androids' workings. The android is conscious, as he cannot feel pain. There is panic in the street, with the COSMOS' crash-landing and the Universe being near an end, but the Captain of COSMOS takes a hoverbike, moving steadily to the Science Lab with the small piece of Dark Energy that they harnessed on their trip. (They went through a black hole, discovered a fantastic, unknown galaxy and a mysterious jungle-planet with Dark Matter at the bottom of a dangerous, lethal lake of a substance that none of them had ever seen before. Inside the Dark Matter, they found some Dark Energy, harnessed it and returned home) When The Captain of COSMOS arrives at the Science Lab, there aren't a lot left - most of the scientists have gone home to die with their families. But Vuze (the Notarian) is there, operating and researching the android, having no family to go home to. He marvels at the Android's worksmanship when the Captain storms through the door on his hoverbike, the Dark Energy-container being thrown out of his pocket. Vuze and The Captain know as the container breaks that all hope is lost; but it isn't. The Android sits up, relaxed as ever, and he soaks up the Dark Energy. For a second, nothing happens, then the Android breaks into thousand pieces and the whole universe is filled with darkness, then with blinding light. The Android is now a God; alive and kicking, keeping the universe alive; it is without a body, but it has received a soul; the soul of the universe.

The following are plot-notes that I am very unsure of I should keep... Opinions?
Scientists learns that the new generations of Androids, titled GODROIDS (?), can create Dark Matter, and from this they can harness the Dark Energy. Farms are made, and every Godroid works there the first 10 years of their life, eventually creating their own soul and being let into the world. There are no known difference between a human and a Godroid - they can both love, feel, think and die. The Godroids, the Androids are no longer a slave of man - they have evolved into their own species.

The Godroid that previously looked like Gerald Trail are now "in charge" of the entire universe and because of it, the Universe will continue to expand into the infinite.

Scientists now speculate that there have always been a Godroid in charge of things, and that the thing the COSMOS found at the uncharted world was the remains of the last ones. Some even speculate that it's the very same android, being capable of time-travelling and that they just witnessed the Big Bang.

And that's it for now. I'll get back in a couple of days with a short-film screenplay. :)

I would probably have the androids naturally evolve into a being with a soul, but that's me.

As I said, I am very unsure of everything concerning the Godroids; they may be left out of the final story.

And the Godroids have a soul. As previously stated, they can love, feel, think and die. If they have a soul or not is up to you to decide. But I would say that they do.
